I never cease to be amazed by the ongoing cleanup of DC. I lived there during the 80's and Dupont Circle was one of the places you didn't want to be after dark.
And the idea that the U st. corridor is now a shopping district... it was full of burned out buildings from 1968 as late as 1990.
