any cake you got, baby grrrl. the nexus of good food and mindblowing art is where i want to live. i'm still contemplating your splendid LA entry. it's practically my favorite place, and for all the reasons you suggest. i once rode the "subway" (?) from long beach to downtown LA and -- aside from being the only english speaking white person on the train (been there!!!) -- learned something i've never forgotten.
