Yearbook photo post

Go at it! Post your yearbook photos in a comment below. C'mon, don't be bashful.

Since I already posted my senior picture, here is my pic from 1982, right before I cut off my hair the first time. It has never been this long since.

1982 ybook

Computer club, 1979

Computer club, 7th grade (fall 1979, ouch, but oh ain't i 1337 with my LOTR animated film shirt. I don't know what that is, maybe a TRS-80?)

Awesome!

Fall, 1980
(I was overseas for graduation photos, never got one.)

I don't know about that. Maybe you just have a thing for young boys. ;)

[identity profile] mactavish.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Computer club? I didn't know there were actual computers that humans could touch (as opposed to, you know, computer scientists like my cousin, who weren't real humans) until I found the MELVYL card catalog at UC Berkeley in '83.

[identity profile] pdmorehouse.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
nah. that was scott. i just attract the young boys.

[identity profile] gordonzola.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
oh, that's nice. Not too '70s either.

Computer, 1980

I forgot I scanned this one, from 8th grade yearbook; a PET?

p.s. I would've had a total crush on you in high school and never said anything.

[identity profile] gordonzola.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
oh yeah, good point. Wow.

We had a couple of Commodore 64s in my school by 1984 I think.

you are so cute like robbie benson!

[identity profile] mactavish.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I spent a few months in maybe 1977 trying desperately to be "'70s," but I failed. I've always been sort of fashion-neutral.

I have no memory whatsoever of what we did in computer club. I do remember playing mugwumps and some other cassette-driven games [which I taped over in hight school] on the Apple my dad brought home in 1977.

[identity profile] bigfatmama.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
you wouldn't have said anything!? really?

my class, the apathetic class of 1983, we didn't even have a yearbook! poverty plus apathy = photobooth senior portraits! like this one!

[identity profile] gwenzilla.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
That's such a lovely picture. You look all innocent ;)
I wish I had one nice one like that, mine are all goofy.

[identity profile] mactavish.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I was in the Science Fiction Special Effects club, at one school I attended for maybe 7 months (I went to five high schools, one of them for a full two years), and we studied the model-making in the Star Wars movies. I have an offline story about that for you, for later. :)

[identity profile] mactavish.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
My body was innocent. My brain, not so much.

[identity profile] gwenzilla.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I never said anything to boys I liked, I'd just hang out with them and be best friends. Actually, I'm still like that but thankfully Chad figured it out and took over :)

I so, so want to. (They're all hilarious.) But my yearbooks are in storage at my mom's place somewhere.

Yours is great.

[identity profile] gordonzola.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah, well the grainiess hides the acne and you can't see social awkwardness in a picture. usually.

[identity profile] gordonzola.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
awww, well I never would have realized in a million years because I wouldn't ever have assumed someone would have a crush on me. Aren't these lovely high school memories?

[identity profile] gordonzola.livejournal.com 2005-09-22 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
nice icon/comment juxtaposition.
