Suburbia had some moments but it's not a great film if you don't have the time and place sentimental attachment. Penelope Spheeris used real punks so the acting is really bad too. And homophobic? yup.

But it does have great lines like this:

cop to Skinhead wearing camoflague: "Hey kid, where's the war?"

Skinhead to cop: "Up your ass."

In the mid '80s that was a rallying cry!
