It's been a little over a year since Lance died. I still miss him whenever I hear his music. I just wanted to take a moment to remember here.

I just realized that the zine I helped put together for his memorial never got put up online. I'll have to follow up on that.

wait a second -- he was involved with 17 Reasons Why? or is that just on the picture?

if so, the world is shrinking, shrinking shrinking as i look.

The sign was a symbol of the Mission (and hopefully will be again when it sits on top of the Rainbow Grocery roof) and Lance used it for the Mission District punk comp he put out in the '90s.

It's weird, I still haven't heard most of J Church's recorded material. I've been kind of spacing it out to a new album every 6 months or so, so that should last for the next 14 or 15 years. Lance was truly a great person.

Yeah. It still gets me frequently. I mean, I didn't lose a friend, just someone I admired from afar really. But still.

I read most of that zine while my flight home for Christmas was delayed for hours. I laughed and I cried. I really, really love it. Thanks.

I was just listening to "The Satanists Convene" from that split with Storm the Tower the other day, and was thinking about this. Thanks for posting this, and thanks for making the zine. I didn't know him, but reading the zine made clear how many good friends and loved ones he had.
