on the way to the march yesterday walking to the bus stop and bart stations through san pablo and richmond i was carrying a big ass papel picado "guerra=muerte u.s. of of iraq" sign i made with my friend, and of course i got flipped off, cussed out, honked at, screamed at and told to fuck off a few times. yeah the bay area is such a hub of liberalism and anti-war sentiment, ain't it? i get so tired of people saying that it's so progressive here. it's also an area with a long military history and the damn center of the capiltalist machine for the west coast. i hate the whole protesting in sf is redundant line.
anyway, i didn't see you there yesterday! but i did run into some kids from the elementary school and they were so damned cute out there! i am taking a break today cuz my knee got fucked up but tomorrow night after work i am back downtown. we should meet up if you are going to be out, mr g.
