In the same time period of the story i just posted, some friends and I got some extra seats on a UAW bus to go see Jesse Jackson speak in Syracuse. He was a very exciting speaker but I do remember feeling very ambivilant about the crowd cheering that whole "dow with dope! up with hope!" thing.

and I can only think it would have been incredibly satisfying to tell Gore he was done. but maybe that's just me.
