Not really a dream post

My friend Rachael was in my dreams all night last night. Thankfully, I never remember my dreams so you will be spared the details. But I hate that moment of waking up after seeing her in a happy dream, feeling restful and satisfied, then realizing that no, she’s still dead. I'm tired of rediscovering that I’ll never see her again.

I'm with all these other hippies.

I know how crushing that moment of waking realization can be, but I've also learned to enjoy the visit. There have been times I've looked forward to nothing so much as sleep, just so I could hang out with the lost.

I found I generally remembered those dreams fairly well, however. Maybe it's harder if all you consciously get out of the deal is the loss upon waking.
