yes, but isnt the revolution not supposed to be televised?
in my complicated world of football-non-fandom, i find it difficult to choose between the patriots ugly new logo or the panthers general "i dont remember you from watching football with my dad in the 70s" franchise newness (both of which i find objectionable in my curious "i dont care enough to put any real though into it" approach to deciding who to root for in a game i wont watch), but thinking about it in 1969 terms seems to be an amicable solution to me!
last year we had the bucanneers and raiders in the pirate-themed supARRRRRRRRR bowl. is this heralding in a new age of theme-based sporting events? though this one doesnt lend itself to perversion of the word "super" as well...
Don't worry, I wasn't getting on BART even without the disclaimer. I knew only a few people would appreciate that post, but in some ways that makes it even better.
This compels me to tell you that i just watched a PBS style documentary on the emergence of the Chicano movement that repeatedly showed footage of Brown Berets at marches and demos and whatnot, but NEVER MENTIONED THEM AT ALL!
Yes, i know this has nothing to do with your post. i'm just annoyed.
