How many today?

Check out authenti-city.com for great pics and descriptions of the wedding mania. Wow.

Thankfully they aren't being done Moonie-style because that always creeped me out.

that link is *awesome*.

i have to admit, while doing my lap of city hall checking out the line and just being astounded, realizing how many people must be *inside* if theres that many *outside*, i got a bit teary-eyed myself.

on many levels, im sure it may not seem like much, but these days, whether or not the state throws the whole thing out, are HUGE. i forsee reunions and stuff like that down the road for the people whove gotten married these last few days - some kind of bond in having shared that experience...

Imagine large masses of people chanting "I do" in unison.

Yup, creepy.

damn it, [livejournal.com profile] gordonzola! nobody manages to make me homesick like you do. i am sitting here looking through those pictures, positively aching for san francisco.

i'm not usually one to cry at weddings, but i seem to have lost control here.

thanks for the link.

I drove past city hall twice today, first on the Van Ness side and then on the Polk side. I saw the line from both sides - it wrapped all the way around the building. It was so amazing to see all those people there. People were honking their horns and waving at the people waiting in line. It was the coolest thing I've ever seen in San Francisco.
