Gang of Four reunion?

Anyone heard about any SF/Bay Area dates? I haven't been able to find any info online yet.

From what I understand, they haven't confirmed any U.S. dates outside of the Coachella festival.

I already have my tickets for the show in Minneapolis, so they must have dates lined up.

Try going to the Ticket Master website, just to check the dates. The band's official website hasn't been updated.

yeah, I tried. according to that, there's only a Philly and a MPLS show sceduled with nearly two weeks in between.

scheduled

[identity profile] surlymedia.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
i was just going to mention the mpls show ;). when i saw the listing i yelled out to brian "i must go!" but i can't bring myself to buy tickets because i can see myself flaking. i've done it countless times. i just hate shows anymore.

I saw them play 1995 with only two members of the original band, and it was AMAZING. From what I've heard, the new tour is supposed to be way better than that.

stop tempting me!

[identity profile] rzr-grl.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
I have heard rumors of two nights at the Fillmore (Warfield? I always confuse those), but I don't know what dates.

I was kinda hoping for the DNA...

[identity profile] susannochka.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
DNA would be much better, it's true.

off-topic: today Cowgirl Creamery was giving out samples of... chocolate goat cheese. I tried it, of course, because I am a free sample whore, but also just so I could make a yuck-face in front of the snooty woman. ew!

[identity profile] gordonzola.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
ha. can you say "left over from Valentine's day"? though I should talk. ordered a bunch of heart-shaped cheese for half price that was due in today. It'll be a hell of a deal starting tomorrow!

[identity profile] susannochka.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
aw, heart-shaped cheese! but what kind? I hate Valentine's day, but I'll buy some heart-shaped cheese if it's a good deal...

[identity profile] rzr-grl.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
*sigh*
You and me both. And about 10 other people at least. No photos for me. :(

[identity profile] jwz.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
So was I! They laughed at us.

[identity profile] jactitation.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
I sincerely hope you're asking so you can organize the contingent to stand outside and yell, "Shame! Shame!"

Or perhaps, "It's not made by great men"?

I'm sorry, no. Geriatric endlesscommerical Rolling Stones is one thing, the Go4 Pity Tour is depressing.

[identity profile] goodbadgirl.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
Dear Jacco:

I really like you. (a lot)

Sincerely,

gbg

I'm just saying I like here style...that's all.

What kind of cheese makes a good heart?

[identity profile] gordonzola.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
Well maybe so. But they're still trying to get that important message to the youth! "Youth" in the CP sense of the word, of course.

[identity profile] beer-retard.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
You may be right about the Pity Tour, but there's always the chance it'll be like Mission of Burma and be knock-you-on-your-ass worthy.

When I first saw this entry, the title bar was off-screen, and I was really hoping you were digging for the skinny on Dead Can Dance tour dates.

Oh Gordon, Gordon, how can we be so divided by our music? Isn't it supposed to be the universal language? Only my language appears to go "wooo, wooo, weedly waughhhh woooooooooo" while yours goes "GRRREEGAAUDHASGSDUFSHHHGGGGHHHH!!!!!"

not Gang of Four

But in Beth Lisick's column in the Chronicle today she printed some rumors of a Blue Cheer reunion show. [see last paragraph - after all the veggie news]

Anyone going to Mission of Burma at Bimbo's next week? We're going!
