Mt. Diablo isn't the highest peak in the bay area. Mt. Hamilton at 4209' is slightly higher than Diablo (3849'). As a cyclist who's ridden both, Hamilton is higher, but Diablo is a harder climb.
As for the freak trying to change the name, it's amazing what a little misdirection, ignorance and a heap of self-righteous christianity does to people.
I lived in England for a few years in the mid 90's. The main Internet provider that serviced the Yorkshire dales was a company called Demon Internet. When you signed up, you got an email address of the form @.demon.co.uk. One of my cow-orkers searched and searched until he found another tiny ISP to sign up with because the christian in him couldn't stand to have the word "demon" in his email address.
