So who'd you guys vote for for Mayor?
I saw Tom Ammiano on 16th St last night with a small crowd of supporters. I already knew I was gonna vote for him, but it was nice to tell him that in person. Weirdly, I ran into my high school friend,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ctrhotpink right then and we were loudly discussing not voting for our high school classmate, The Front-Runner, which confused the Tom-boys and Tom-girls because I think they misinterpreted our conversation as one of support for Gavin.
He was voted "Most GQ" in high school, btw.
The whole Matt Gonzalez thing seemed like he was just getting his name out there for the 2007 Mayoral race against Newsom after Newsom wins this election. I was kinda shocked how fast people jumped ship on Tom. A neighbor even asked me when Matt got into the race if I was gonna replace my Ammiano sign. Could the Left be more fickle? Is it just cuz Gonzalez isn't queenie?
I actually don't think it's just that. I think Ammiano has been unable to move the left agenda forward after his exciting write-in race for Mayor and his subsequent crushing defeat by Willie Brown. There are good reasons to support Gonzalez. I'll definitely vote for him in 2007.
As for "The Heart of San Francisco", she'd be my 3rd choice if only because she's crazy enough to do practically anything. Susan Leal? Better than Gavin.
