First, querencia’s view on workers in Argentina taking over their closed workplaces and transforming them into worker co-ops. A fascinating read.

Then, on the other hand, my friends’ teen daughter’s band Cootie Shot doing a cover of "Bad Reputation". Gets you in the mood for Joan Jett at the Marin County Fair on Monday, doesn’t it?

Holy shit, Cootie Shot is like my new favorite band. There's nothing like teen pop punk. Nobody over the 21 can manage to pull it off with such good-time sloppy earnestness.

Just started reading your LJ; don't know where I found out about it, maybe saw a comment of yours on slit's LJ. But I have recently developed an obsessive love of cheese, aided by the fine cheesemongers at PFI in Seattle. I thought I loved cheese before, but I now know that I hadn't even TASTED good cheese before. Now I really love cheese.

About to move to Baltimore MD. If anyone knows of good sources of cheese there, do share.
