Ok, I enjoyed "Malibu's Most Wanted" much, much more than I intended to. The 15 minute* and the annoyingly unrealistic love interest rules still apply, but there were some genuininely funny moments. For example, the (not Black) rich Malibu hip hoppers playing dozens where one insult was, "Your momma's so poor that those are your real tits."


*My concession to watching Hollywood movies is that I ignore the last 15 minutes when the recuperative endings happen

TV dramatic series script conventions dictate that there be a warm, recuperative scene at or near the end, after the last commercial break. You can pracically set your watch by it. And scriptwriters refer to it, I am not making this up, as The Moment of Shit.
