Damn, man. You are the poster boy for LJ. 84 people met in person through LJ? I think I've met 5. And how the hell do you actually keep up with a 312 person friends list?

Date: 2004-11-16 01:12 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] gordonzola.livejournal.com
well, like I said, a large bulk of those I met briefly through in-store interactions.

another huge chunk I met at poker games through someone I met on LJ.

Hi, I lurk. I used to work with [livejournal.com profile] wookiepocket and I know a few other people on your friendslist, mostly through writing. My lj, which is supposed to be my "sex journal" is really boring lately, though my "main" journal is syndicated through [livejournal.com profile] cafermbleflower.

fairly consistent lurker, here. I tend to read through [livejournal.com profile] substitute's and [livejournal.com profile] jwz's friends lists when I've run out of fresh reading material on my own...

I wouldn't be surprised if we've met at a late 80's anarchist gathering. I was in Toronto and San Francisco, and I helped organize the Mid-Atlantic gathering held in Philly in... 93?

1 - goodbadgirl.

I was so devastated by not seeing you last time I was in seattle, that I had a brain lapse. Of course I remember you not having your ID and being unable to enter the supersecret goth club.

sorry.

Let me intoduce myself a la lurker, I am a born and raised cooper as we refer to "us" in Detroit/Ann arbor. My partner worked as the "produce man" for years at the cass corridor food cooperative in Detroit, others cut the cheese. We live in Ann Arbor these days and rarely go to the 4th street co op here in A2, but that doesn't mean that our heart is not in the coop. The Cass corridor coop is dying a death of miss management after many many years which is a total and complete shame. Anyway as it happens we both work in organics... I have enjoyed reading Gordonzola, and will continue to. Thanks for writing from the city. I miss the city aspect of my life as I now live in lilly la la land of upwardly mobile, sort of, Ann Arbor as opposed to the nitty gritty of the motor city. thanks for de lurking me. I shop at Rainbow once in a while, but I've never lurked in the cheese aisle. It's not because I'm painfully shy and socially self-conscious, but I haven't gotten around to purchasing cheese, as my knowledge in the field is shamefully next to nothing and there's no pretext set up yet. But, at least I'll know what to say if I can locate you-- HEY YOU'RE THE CHEESE GUY ON LIVEJOURNAL. WHAT SHOULD I BUY TODAY? or take a more daring approach-- I JUST READ AN ARTICLE IN THE EAST BAY EXPRESS ABOUT HOW WHOLE FOODS IS ACTUALLY ANTI-UNION BUT MOST WORKERS DON'T KNOW ABOUT IT AND DON'T CARE YADDA YADDA YADDA. Really!

You are such an ambitious young man. I can't keep track of this level of data! Though I also generally can't keep track of the names of common objects, or the names of people I am related to, or people I have dated, or similar. I generally swap "whatsit" "whosit" and "hey you."
