If you're gonna zombie through an urban area don't half-ass it. Zombies do not wear messenger bags, walk with a purposeful stride, or smile and laugh. But especially the messenger bags. It's a bad look for a zombie.

(This post is 95% more serious than the one I made yesterday, for the record)

it's like saying "Oh yeah my zombie schedule is really tight today. After this zombie bloodfest I have to make a zombie meeting and pick up some zombie sundries from the zombie grocery store."

And then there's that deadline for making more zombies. You'd think being undead wouldn't have such a tight schedule.

Though, you know, somebody's written a song in that vain.

Totally! Mindless, living death demands nothing less than total commitment! And brains!

P.S. I can't believe I'm going to miss this:

there was a rumor that some belligerent zombies came into MOMA and security had to get involved.

It would work if it was a zombie bike messenger - I mean, even the fastest bike messenger couldn't escape from zombies if enough of them surrounded him, right?

But he'd really need to commit to the whole look to pull it off, and he'd need a trashed bag in tatters. A tattered Campagnolo cycling cap and jersey, all gray and barely recognizable, would be required as well.

I doubt this fella was that dedicated.

Oh, I agree completely. the best costumes increased the diversity of professions. Basball players, McDonald's workers etc. A bike messenger would totally fit.

No, I mean the people wearing their regular clothing including bags. and it wasn't just one person. there were many and not just in the SF Zombie-fest but in the other ones on line too. (and I use "messenger bags" loosely.)

I thought that you might be interested in this post because of your interest in worker co-ops.

Yeah, I know about that. Unfortunately, everyone I know at Burley has left so I can't get straight answers to the questions I have. I mean, I assume the BOD can't change the structure unless the members vote to approve but at this point it may be the only money anyone ever sees. And there's all kinds of way to put on pressure. It does explain why they didn't return my calls on a different co-op matter recently.

A good friend of mine is in a zombie burlesque troupe. I confess, I've never been to see them nor, despite my love of costuming and largescale pranks, have I joined the zombie flashmob because... I don't like to be messy. The thought of being covered in fake blood and fake rotting flesh really creeps me out - not because of what it looks like, but because it's sticky.

I feel like such a schmuck.
