Hi, I just saw a pair of our friends off riding their bikes somewhere, looking like extras in this vid (minus the face bandanas). Ah, at what point does "consistency" become "parody of oneself (and one's community)"?
I think it depends on the vantage point. It's also a tricky dynamic to not be a "slave to fashion" but also not wearing the exact same clothes for 20 years until it's a uniform.
With all the black, I actually first thought they were armored bike cops. What happens when fashions change enough to inflect your sartiorial strategies with unintended (and rather repugnant) meanings?
