The food holidays

Geez, I am so far off my usual work schedule that multiple times recently, I have had no idea what day it is.

I ran into some of my co-op buddies who now work in another store last week. They had that frenzied, psychotic yet weary look that only comes in the month preceding Thanksgiving in the grocery world. I have never forgotten what that time feels like. Sometimes I laugh inside a little at folks stressing out at my current job. They only think they are stressing. They haven't worked Thanksgiving in the grocery world...

And, truthfully, I miss it sometimes. The energy is like nothing else.

I'm going to miss the holiday season at DeLaurenti this year. I mean, it's insane, it sucks, but I actually really liked it. I loved getting the insane shipments of holiday stuff and just working so much you can't even stop to think. I hope it's a good one for you!
