I’ll make a real post later, but these little things should be mentioned:

1. I know I’m late on this one, but if you haven’t heard the Jeff Stryker country songs yet, you should check this out. "Pop you in the Pooper" is the stand out. Unfortunately it’s only a clip.

2. "Dogs in Space" is playing at El Rio, 2/18 at 8 PM as this month’s After School Special. I always hated INXS but for some reason I want to see this movie. 21 +, sorry kids.

3. I listened to the Beatnigs album for the first time in years. All I can say is that I forgot how good it is. I wish I couldn’t say that I like it much better than anything else Michael Franti has ever done(Disposable Heroes, Spearhead), but . . .

4. Wow, there’s more 13 year olds doing LJs than 35 year olds. When I was sick and bored yesterday I actually did the random search thing. I think that there should be a function connected to the random search that calls loved ones to stage an intervention and get the user off the computer. My favorite random journal? The one that is named "diefighting" where the user says in a post, "Fights are stupid".

5. This whole post is obviously a cry for help. My brain is still too addled to write well about the things I actually want to write about.

HaHahahahahaha!
I was just listening INXS "I sent a message" just as I was reading your entry! That, and Bob Marley "Roots Rock Reggae" and
The Beat Farmer's "Happy Boy." Hubba hubba hubba hubbba hubba...
I'm waiting for a call back from a job I was told I had, then might not have. Fuck, it's frustrating! Somebody has to want me - I'm that good, for chrissakes!
I feel a little guilty for being home & not working.
They're begging for me to move back at my old job.
My kids are emailing me, so sweet! They tell me they miss me.
Gab just went to Hop Topic (she loves the Kelly Osborne, I must say) and got a patch of a cute little bunny that says You smell like butt. She put it on her favorite hoodie, along with a CareBears patch. She's her father's daughter.
How did we get a kid this old, 14 next Thursday!
We're not that old, are we?
obliviot & I have been together offically since Feb 14th.
15 years. my oh my.....
i was thinking of the party up in Mendocino from how long ago?
5 years? It was the same time we got the cats and Princess Di died, father's day weekend. That was so great. Trying to find the pics I took so I can scan & burn them.
We will do something for our 20th, I think.
Something, fun & spectacular - renewing our vows in Amsterdam.
How about it? Would you officiate?
Think you'll be up to it in 5 years?
Gab will be in college, Nik will be a senior.
AACKKK!!! My children are not children much longer!
I should be doing something productive.
I have to go up in the attic today, at Gab's request, so she can find appropriate hoochy mamma outfit for the Val Day dance at school. You should see the shoes she's wearing - I can't walk in them! This is what I get for sneaking out and being a whore as a teenager. Actually, she's a lot more tame than I was, when I wasn't at home or church. Too confessional?
This is why I'm scared to write in a LJ. I'll say too much!
Feel better. Regay is sick as well.
I'm sending healing vibes your ways.

Your post reminded me of the time I went with Tona and Steesha to the Monterey Bay Aquarium right after it opened. Steesha drove and would *only* play INXS tapes. All the way down . . .all the way up.

How did I miss that? I've been waiting my whole life for country songs about gay porn!

I wonder if he takes himself as seriously as my other favorite porn-star-turned-musician, Jeff Palmer <http://www.jeffpalmer.net/index.asp?pid=music>.

I am deeply disappointed that I missed that. Did you actually go see him?

oh, shit, dogs in space is playing?!? thanks for the reminder. repeated preadolescent viewings of that movie are probably responsible for somethingorother; plus, the soundtrack is great.

I never liked INXS, but "Dogs in Space" is a really great film, and the soundtrack is excellent, if you can find it.

Please tell me this isn't the first time that you've seen it! :)

Nope, never seen it. I probably thought it wasn't punk enough when it came out 'cuz of Michael Hutchence (sp?)

If I ever visit MPLS, I'll spend a day with you watching Jem and all the other cultural artifacts that I missed out on.
