tlacuiloliztli. I didn’t have teddy bears, but I think this comes close, at least spiritually.
This photo was taken at the SPCA office at the mall where I worked in a photo lab. It was the rat’s birthday. No one thought he would survive that long after the horrible accident. But he believed in himself. He overcame his injuries. He worked through the pain of physical therapy and the emotional pain of mourning his lost family and friends. Though suspicious, he let the humans feed him until he could feed himself. He liked cookies. He did survive. At least, until he didn’t.

Date: 2005-02-03 07:38 pm (UTC)After not only defeating the polar bear that threatened his home and his family, but also making an example to other polar bears by furnishing his home with a nice new bearskin rug, this racoon celebrates his victory with a smoke (or five) and a few swigs straight from the bottle of his favorite potable, Krauter Likor!
