SF Zine Fest!!
Aug. 12th, 2002 05:00 pmWe had a little meeting for the SF Zine Fest yesterday and I figure it’s my duty to tell/remind people about it here in LJ land. It's gonna be a one-day event: Sunday 9/8 at Cell Space in San Francisco from 10-4. Cell Space is at 2050 Bryant St. We have about 50 half tables available for zinesters at $15 each (which hopefully will cover our costs). Admission is, of course, free.

There’s also a pre-fest kick-off show on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 8pm at the Long Haul in Berkeley. Hear your favorite local zine publishers read their work, or read some of your own! This all-ages event will be free, with donations accepted for the Zine Fest Fund.
The Long Haul Infoshop is at 3124 Shattuck Ave. at Woolsey St., in Berkeley CA. It is one block east of the Ashby BART station and is also served by the AC Transit 43 bus line. www: http://burn.ucsd.edu/~resist It is across the street from The Starry Plough Pub and La Pena Cultural Center.

zines!
Date: 2002-08-13 02:55 pm (UTC)September sucks. September and May are the worst months of working for me (when school starts and ends). The boyfriend is even leaving town for a weekend in September as I've warned him that I'll be stressed and busy and no fun to be around. But if I can make it to the SF zinefest (fingers crossed), I'll share a table with Mr Cool Beans who has already registered. I probably won't have any zines to sell anyway.
(Yeah, I'm having a rough day which is probably why this post sounds so damn cranky.
