Day after Halloween -- 5 thoughts

-- You wanna know where the Halloween action was in SF last night? Bernal Heights. If you were under 12 that is. It was like the Castro for the little ones. A nearly un-walkable mob scene filled with high-on-candy kiddies! I was on the 24 on Cortland to join jactitation for her birthday and it was surrounded and forced to stop numerous times by hordes of little demons and superheroes. Total sugar-fueled insanity! Makes me feel good about the next generation of SF partiers.

--Happy Birthday jactitation. I'm really glad I got to spend your birthday evening with you and Dr. Sex. Thanks for 20 years of love, friendship, and being my chosen family. You're a huge part of my life and we both owe each other so much. I wish I could be eloquent enough to describe it all right now… all the years of fun, of living together, of laughing inappropriately at movies, and of criticizing other people's politics… I'm glad we've shared so many things and have so many (often differing) memories together. I truly hope the dinner and drinks made your birthday turn out fun.

--It was awesome running into old friends at Wild Side West. Do they have the best backyard in the city or what?

-- I need to stop listening to J Church. It's become a compulsion but it's really depressing me.

1) I was a bad girl in that yard at WSW. But in general I want to fashion my backyard after theirs.

... and a block up from Cortland, those of us at home with big bowls of candy wondered were everyone was. Last year we ran out fast; this year we're eating too many leftovers!

It's nice to know I'm not the only one listening to too much Lance. Poor K can't stand them, but has been pretty tolerant so far. I also need to stay away from those memorial sites, they get me all weepy at work.
